ABOUT ME

They say you can't move mountains. I say you just need the right leader.

For over 15 years, I’ve tackled the immovable objects of the tech world: legacy systems and limited resources.

I design the tools that makes progress possible. Whether it's architecting a custom portal for thousands of users or leading a small team through AI adoption, my approach is the same: Analyze the landscape, map the route, and build the systems to get us to the top.

I operate out of the Denver Metro area, where the Rockies serve as my daily reminder that big things can be conquered one step at a time.

Professional SKILLS

GLOBAL SYSTEMS ARCHITECTURE

Designing scalable infrastructure that connects distributed teams and unifies disparate data across borders.

UX / UI
DIRECTION

Ensuring that complex backend systems present a simple, accessible, and intuitive face to the user.

AI STRATEGY & IMPLEMENTATION

Moving beyond the hype to implement practical LLM workflows (Gemini) that solve actual business bottlenecks.

DISTRIBUTED OPERATIONS

Designing the digital ecosystem that connects a globally scattered workforce - ensuring staff from Hawaii to Greece can collaborate without friction.

PRODUCT LIFECYCLE MANAGEMENT

Guiding digital products from the whiteboard phase through development, testing, and global deployment.

PROBLEM
SOLVING

Translating vague stakeholder needs into concrete technical requirements and executable roadmaps.

Leadership DNA

CliftonStrengths Assessment

Strategic

I don't just fix bugs;
I spot patterns.

I help organizations navigate roadblocks by seeing alternative paths before we hit them.

Adaptability

Tech changes fast. I thrive in dynamic environments where the requirements shift, staying calm while pivoting the strategy.

Context

I respect legacy. I believe you can't build a sustainable future without understanding the history of the nuts and bolts that
got us here.

Self-assurance

I trust my gut and my data.
I provide steady hands on the wheel when high-stakes

decisions need to be made.

Maximizer

Good isn't enough. I focus on taking strong teams and efficient systems and tuning them

to be superb.

Enneagram

Type 2

Servant Leadership

My drive comes from empowering others. I lead by ensuring my team has the tools, support, and protection they need to do their best work.

PORTFOLIO

RECENT WORK
AI & PROTOTYPING

Vibe Coding & Rapid Prototyping I am currently exploring

TrackDeck

Distributed Audio Collaboration & Mixing

Rehearsing with static MP3s forces musicians to guess their part in the mix. I built TrackDeck to solve this gap by delivering a full multi-track experience directly in the browser.

This application serves as a centralized audio library that allows distributed team members to rehearse against the full production arrangement. Featuring a custom-built web mixer, users can isolate specific stems (Bass, Drums, Click, Cues, etc.) and create their own personalized monitor mix at home. It bridges the gap between individual preparation and group performance, ensuring every team member arrives ready to play.

Built as a secure, role-based internal team tool to support asynchronous preparation.

FlashTap

Networked Visual Cues for Live Production

In complex live performance environments, musician synchronization often relies on expensive, proprietary hardware. FlashTap replaces this with a lightweight, browser-based architecture that runs on any local network.

By interfacing directly with Ableton Live (via AbleSet), the application ingests real-time MIDI data and song metadata to broadcast synchronized visual cues to any connected device. It delivers critical information - song titles, time signatures, and visual metronomes - to production teams and musicians without the need for in-ear monitors.

Architected to handle latency-sensitive data transmission over standard local area networks, proving that web technologies can handle real-time production demands.

ChromaLoop

Real-Time Generative Motion Assets

In live production environments, finding high-quality, royalty-free motion backgrounds is a constant bottleneck. I built ChromaLoop as a lightweight, browser-based solution to democratize asset creation for non-technical users.

The application features a real-time rendering engine that allows users to blend up to four hex codes into seamless, animated gradients. With controls for animation physics (Linear, Radial, Spin), velocity, and angular direction, users can prototype and export broadcast-ready MP4 or WebM files in seconds.

Deployed live at chromaloop.app, serving as a utility for creative teams in rapid-turnaround environments.

Deck Pack

Bringing Broadcast Control to Google Slides

Google Slides is the standard for collaboration, but it fails in live environments where multiple presenters need to transition seamlessly. Deck Pack bridges the gap between cloud-based slides and professional broadcasting tools like ProPresenter.

I architected this application to solve the awkward transition problem. It allows users to bundle multiple Drive presentations into a single "Pack" along with a playlist, giving AV teams full control without ever exiting full-screen mode. Featuring a robust Presenter View with confidence timers, next-slide previews, and black/whiteout toggles, it transforms a basic browser tab into a professional production suite.

EXPERIENCE

TECH Experience

Mountains Of Skills

2013-2015

Web Developer & Tech Specialist

Identifying a critical gap in our operations, I pivoted from the sales floor to the engineering team. I deprecated our reliance on scattered spreadsheets and built the organization’s first custom web applications. This period was defined by modernizing legacy ColdFusion systems into dynamic, scalable tools that our users actually enjoyed using.

Praying Pelican Missions

2015-PRESENT

Director of Web & Technology

I transitioned from building the tools to designing the strategy. Currently directing the global technology roadmap, managing distributed development teams, and pioneering the organization's adoption of AI-native workflows (Gemini/LLMs). My focus shifted from writing code to designing systems that solve critical bottlenecks.

2009-2013

Recruiting, Sales, Consulting & Trip Leader

Before leading the tech, I lived the mission. Spending four years in sales and logistics gave me deep empathy for our internal stakeholders. I didn't just guess what features the organization needed; I experienced the friction firsthand. This operational background is the foundation of my product design philosophy today.

Cherry Creek School District

2007-2009

Tech Support Specialist

Boots-on-the-ground IT operations. This role taught me the fundamentals of infrastructure, hardware diagnostics, and the patience required to solve immediate technical crises for non-technical users in a high-volume educational environment.
